Position Description:
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Marketing and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a HTML/Javascript Web Developer to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a HTML/Javascript Web Developer, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
An opportunity has risen for an expert Developer to join the Sales MI team. The team currently consists of approx 30 people (analysts, developers and testers) geographically split between London and India working on a number of varied projects delivering systems to support the Sales Front Office Business area.
Additional Position Details:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take part in a project to write a number of new components in HTML5/Javascript/CSS as well as migrating a number of existing Silverlight components.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing components/widgets in HTML5 using a number of popular community Javascript frameworks.
Competencies:
The candidate will have experience in a professional environment conducting development with a variety of web technologies, most probably ASP.Net and Silverlight, prior to working with HTML5 and Javascript. Knowledge and/or usage of BackBone / Underscore / JQuery frameworks is required. Whilst not essential for the role, candidates with experience of building and consuming from WCF data services, as well as the ability to write T-SQL/MDX against a SQL database/analysis services cube will be given preference.
- Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent oral and written communication abilities should feature.
- Should display ability for writing documented, maintainable code.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills desired.
- Interacts with the business and/or other teams to collect requirements, analyses them, suggests solutions, designs, builds, tests and supports solutions.
