Job Description Job Description: This job is for a senior level developer. The candidate will be expected to develop web applications and assist with the design and technical architecture of web applications for our (primarily) aviation clients worldwide using ASP.Net, C#, SQL Server, Oracle and ESRI ArcGIS software. Experience with Flex/Action script is highly desired. If the candidate does not have Flex/Action script experience strong desire to learn and develop rich internet applications is a must. This is an opportunity for a qualified candidate to join a small team of dedicated developers that is part of a larger, well established company. The candidate will also be expected to learn and apply new technologies and to contribute to the success of a focused business unit. A successful candidate is willing to learn about client requirements in our industry, work well independently or in small teams, accept accountability for quality of work and be creative in developing top-notch applications to meet client needs. Job Requirements: At least 5 years development experience building web applications using C#, Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET web services or Microsoft WCF's, ADO.NET, and relational database development . The candidate must also have a solid foundation using Microsoft Office products. Strongly desired skills, but not required: Flex / ActionScript, Microsoft LINQ, ADO.NET Entity Framework, SQL Server, T-SQL. System architecture and/or graphical user interface design experience a plus. ESRI ArcGIS and/or other web mapping application development a plus. Additional consideration given to the following skills: Oracle, PL/SQL, JavaScript, Silverlight, HTML5, ESRI ArcGIS Server and Desktop products, VMWare products. Degree/Location: Computer Science degree is desired, but professional development experience also will be strongly considered in lieu of a relevant degree. This position is based in Chicago area. Infrequent travel to client locations is negotiable.
