The Position

Our Calgary Head Office has an exciting opportunity for a passionate, creative and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Web Developer. The successful candidate will assist in the design, architecture, development and implementation of a variety of internal and external web applications using ASP.Net and Sharepoint 2010. This includes working with stakeholders in determining requirements, consulting with external parties to create an architectural plan and designing and creating sites.  Interaction with end users within internal departments is necessary in order to understand requirements and work with the Central IT team to provide support for these applications.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment that requires exceptional time management, organization and customer service skills.  This person will have completed a college diploma or university degree in computer science coupled with over 3 years of related work experience. A minimum of 2 years experience working with HTML, CSS, Javascript and ASP.Net is required.  This person will also have in-depth knowledge of Visual Studio 2008/2010, as well as database development knowledge including TSQL and SQL server 2008 Reporting Services.  Experience in identifying, prioritizing, analyzing and implementing business requirements and providing end user value is necessary. To be successful in this role, one must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.  Prior exposure to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007/2010 and experience with Team Foundation Server would be considered an asset.
