Web Developer Job in Canterbury, Southern UK
This company is a well-established creative agency based between Folkestone and Canterbury, Kent. They are looking to expand their creative team and seek a talented web developer to join them. You must have extensive experience working on a variety of web-based creative projects to include flash banners, e-newsletters, motion graphics, website design with an understanding of usability, information architecture and social media marketing; enthusiastic, hard-working and dedicated with an attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with our creative and account management teams to develop clients' projects in diverse industry sectors
- Interpret creative briefs to produce web-based creative solutions of the highest quality and deliver against project timelines and deadlines
- Present ideas and finished concepts to the agency team and clients
- Be up-to-date with the latest developments in emerging web technologies and mobile applications
Skill set:
- At least 3 years' experience working in a commercial environment
- A working knowledge of php or ASP (show examples)
- Must be proficient in HTML and CSS; knowledge of Javascript
- E-mail asset creation, coding and delivery experience or understanding
- Have experience with both front-end and back-end development
- Experience working with and implementing Content Management Systems (ExpressionEngine, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla)
- Have knowledge and understanding of W3C web standards
- Social network integration
- Experience with eCommerce and payment gateways
- Mac or PC skills with an excellent level of proficiency in Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver (or equivalent)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience in APP development would be an advantage
