Web Developer
We are seeking on a temporary basis an experienced programmer with strong database administration skills. You should have demonstrable experience of programming in a visual studio environment, and excellent skills with .Net/ASP. A skills test will be necessary before taking up the post. This will take the form of a sample of existing work, or a response to a minor senario we can provide.
The prospective person should also be comfortable with working in an IIS server environment - the ability to manage web site settings and deployment is key.
The post holder will be expected to learn and troubleshoot several systems programmed in .Net programming languages, including our exam reporting system, document repository, and content management system. Sharepoint experience would be a key asset as well - either as an administrator or a programmer.
Desirable skills would include experience in the Moodle learning environment, or a willingness to take on the training required to provide basic support the use of this system.
A strong programming background, excellent customer relations skills and the ability to work within a busy support team are key to a successful post holder.
