Web Developer
Position Objectives:
We are seeking a seasoned and energetic Sr. Web Developer to join our rapidly growing Digital team.
Working in a collaborative team and on the project level under the direction of the Digital Art Director and Creative Director, the Sr. Web Designer is an innovative creative thinker able to translate ideas and concepts into useful and memorable interactive marketing, web and motion-based designs. Attention to detail and ability to uphold and deliver work at the highest quality standards is essential. Passion for digital is essential.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Developing and writing code to support web applications
- Experience designing and developing web applications using various technologies and languages such as Java/J2EE, .Net, Web Services, and/or XML.
- Experience using web application development tools, such as version control software and IDEs, as well as knowledge of Opertaing systems, such as Sun Solaris and/or Microsoft Windows XP Server.
- Experience with enterprise application servers such as IBM WebSphere, BEA Weblogic and/or ATG is a plus.
- Experience with eCommerce products and portal products
- Experience with Content Management Systems, such as Interwoven's TeamSite or Documentum is a plus.
- Experience with open source technologies and frameworks is a plus.
- Experience integrating Rich Internet technologies such as AJAX, Flash, Flex with backend
Education Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or related field is a plus
- 4 to 8 years of Web Development experience required
- Ability to articulate and present creative ideas
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
- Strong HTML, JavaScripts, CSS, and XML NET 2.0, C#, ASP.NET
- General Database Skills, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures
- Understands basic Site Deployment and Configuration Management
- Understanding of motion design and the strengths and limitations of traditional and emerging platforms including Motion Graphics, 3D Modeling and Animation including Final Cut Pro, After Effects and 3D Max
- Comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the Web and the fundamentals of information architecture
- Mature appreciation of the balance between creative and business opportunities
- Self motivated, organized and accountable
