One of Kelly's Top Client's in Houston, Texas seeks the following: WEB Developer Description: The WEB Developer will provide Client-side ASP integration developer with 1-3 years of recent experience programming and debugging multi-tiered active database web applications in Visual Interdev. Classic ASP, JavaScript, IIS and SQL Server 2000 or 2005 skills are required. A qualified, well-rounded candidate will have a growing expertise in efficient, complex coding: VB/ASP, DHTML (HTML, JavaScript, DOM), ADO SQL. ASP.NET, C# is a plus, as this job will begin by performing Classic ASP development, that will quickly evolve into heavy .NET development -- migration experience from Classic ASP to ASP.NET is very helpful. Requirements: · Proficient in Microsoft tools and technologies. · Willing to follow Microsoft coding standards, w3c specifications and efficient code writing (classic ASP, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, ADO, SQL) that contributes to a scalable architecture. · Knowledge of database design and development concepts with sufficient experience using Access, SQL Server 2000 or 2005 and SQL client tools; such as, Enterprise Manager and SQL Query Analyzer. · Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team and able to take direction. · Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise in programming tools and scripting languages. · Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. · Web Application Developer with thorough knowledge and experience with modern web development, including strong skills in areas of programming, database integration, technical configuration, and web user interface development. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment to develop fast, scalable and robust web applications using Microsoft .NET and scripting (JavaScript/VB Script) technologies. The successful candidate must possess strong knowledge of programming in Visual Basic 6, .NET languages such as VB.NET. Familiarity with the Visual Studio development environment as well as Visual Interdev 6 in order to convert existing Visual Interdev 6 developed application to new .NET platform. Experience with converting Microsoft Access databases to SQL platform database is a must too. · Knowledge and experience in documentation for software code and work processes. · Additional skills: Java Script experience, converting MS Access to SQL Server 2000 databases. Responsibilities: The WEB Developer will provide Programming and database integration for web applications, online forms, online reports and other store and retrieve applications using ASP and SQL databases. Will provide programming and web development support in a IIS and .NET environment. Must have strong .Net, Visual Basic and Java programming skills and be able to immediately begin development of major development projects. Provide web development and project support to ensure web application and code is developed in accordance with defined and enforced policies, regulations, work processes and guidelines. Documentation of software code and existing work processes. Education/Certifications: Minimum of a 2 year Degree in Computer Science or similar. (4 year degree in Computer Science or similar, preferred) Microsoft Application Developer Certification is preferred .
