ENGINEER II
This is a Web Developer position supporting all of Verisign's marketing web team initiatives. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can work independently, communicate well with project managers and developers within the team, and is savvy with the various tools and technologies used to create the user experience of web sites and applications.
Key Responsibilities: Works under direct supervision of Web Development Lead on Small/Med projects.
Specific job functions:
- Work within a team environment to develop and maintain a high volume web applications
- Assist in maintaining a J2EE/JSF application on a regular and project related basis
- Develop front end web pages that adhere to design and coding standards
- Work as part of a development team on medium/large high profile web marketing projects
- Complete small projects with broad supervision
- Work under supervision of development lead on large/medium projects
Key Requirements:
Technical
- 2-4 years experience developing in Java, J2SE 6 and J2EE5 and above.
- 2-4 years experience with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
- Fluent with Mojarra JSF, Facelets, and Primefaces.
- Strong Linux background.
- Intermediate MySQL/SQL, Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, shell scripting knowledge.
- 1+ years experience with SVN or other versioning system.
- Familiarity with the NetBeans IDE.
- Experience with Maven and Jenkins build tools and systems is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Experience working as part of a cross functional team including QA, Development and Project Management.
- Experience in working with multiple customers and organizations simultaneously and within time constraints.
- Experience with large high volume corporate websites
- Web Accessibility and Section 508 best practice knowledge.

- Excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to review project technical documents and provide input as required
- Highly motivated with strong work ethic
