Whitecap is actively seeking a Web Developer with a background of success and hands-on experience developing Microsoft .NET based web solutions. The successful candidate will work as part of Whitecap project teams on the design, development and implementation of web based business systems for clients across a variety of industries. We also do significant mobile development for mobile devices.
The position largely involves designing and developing systems using:
- HTML5, HTML4, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, Web Services
- VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, WCF, Visual Studio
- Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS 2007, SharePoint Server 2010), SharePoint Designer)
- Microsoft SQL Server
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Solid technical knowledge and design skills, as per the technologies listed above
- Ability to solve problems efficiently, think creatively and deliver quality user focused software solutions in a timely manner
- University degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- At least five years of experience developing .NET based web applications
Ideally, you will also have:
- One or more of the following Microsoft certifications:
- Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD): Web Developer
- MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010
- MCPD: SharePoint Developer 2010
- Demonstrable experience creating compelling user experiences (UX) based on SharePoint / .NET
- Expertise in any of the following:
- iPhone/iOS, Android or BlackBerry native application development
- Microsoft SQL Server (including Analysis Services, Integration Services), InfoPath, BizTalk
