POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

This is a key role within the marketing department for a commercially focused and technically proficient web marketing specialist.  The high-level goals in supporting the businesses in the UK, Ireland and Iberia are:

·         Manage three websites as a high profile source of information. 

·         Maximise the supply of leads via on and offsite activity.

·         Ensure brand(s) are well represented online.

 

The goals will be delivered through the planning and delivery of online marketing initiatives that integrate with, and support the overall marketing plan. It is critical that activities are measured to establish ROI and other metrics. 

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this person will work closely with the immediate marketing team of three people, plus cross-functional teams, international marketing functions, and local sales engineering stakeholders.  The management of these relationships is an important part of the role.  This person will be aware of and implement latest best practices in online marketing and be the point of dissemination and education about these to stakeholders. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DESIRED RESULT:

 

Essential Function:  Website management (25%).  This person will be responsible for all aspects of the three websites under their management, including: content management, functionality, usability, SEO, lead generation, performance measurement, web shop, maintenance, quality control. 

 

The writing and editing of website content is a central part of this role, and ties in with both continually enhancing the sites’ usability, and ensuring optimal communication of Kroll Ontrack brand and product messages. 

 

Website content is managed via the RedDot CMS.  This person will have advanced knowledge of and experience with editing and creating HTML pages with CSS from scratch, plus good Dreamweaver and Photoshop skills.  Backend support of the website is provided by colleagues in the USA. 

    

 

Search Engine Optimisation is a key priority.  This person will identify new strategies and increase ranking, links and qualification of traffic coming from search engines. 

 

Desired Result:  Demonstrate improvements in SEO, communication of key messages and onsite metrics. 

 

 

Essential function:  Lead generation 40%.  Maximising the quality and quantity of leads is a key output of this role.  Generate leads utilising applicable digital marketing tools and methodologies on and off-site.

 

Desired result: Deliver quality leads to Sales and BD including for data recovery, software and data management product lines in each country.

 

Essential FunctionTracking, measuring and reporting (15%).  This person will manage and improve data collection for all online activity.  They will set and report on metrics and tracking, and intelligently interpret the data in order to optimise budget spend and time resources. 

 

Desired Result:  Achieve objectives of lead generation and key message communication.   

 

 

 

 

 

Essential FunctionResource management (10%).  Manage day to day work direction, work flow, prioritisation, development and performance of external agencies; currently including for SEO, PPC and a newsfeed. 

 

Desired Result:  Deliver efficiency and effectiveness in the role as measured by agreed metrics. 

 

 

Essential Function:  Research and innovation (10%). Conduct regular research into best practices and new ideas for online marketing. 

 

Desired Results: Recommend, implement and manage innovations in online marketing that deliver measureable results.

Required Business Travel Requirements:  Up to 5% (estimated) required as and when business needs arise.

 

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

-Ideally degree or equivalent education in digital marketing.

-Experience in website management, user experience, online lead generation, SEO, PPC and online campaign planning, delivery and ROI tracking is required.

-Advanced skills with web-based technologies, including HTML,CSS, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics and Photoshop is required.

-Experience of working with content management systems is required, and experience with RedDot is advantageous.

-A commercial focus, with a proven ability to generate online leads is required.

-Ability to prioritise, multitask and to deliver to deadlines and budgets is required. 

-High attention to detail is required.

-Strong planning and project management skills are required.

-Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal is required.

-Ability to build productive working relationships and communicate effectively and efficiently with all types of colleagues locally and internationally is required.

-Ability to write technically efficient and compelling web copy is required. 

-Ability to operate autonomously - organise and prioritise workload, meet deadlines and mange time    efficiently is required.

-Strong team player, who can also self manage and lead external agencies is required. 

-Willingness and ability to adapt to changing business requirements is required.

-Ability to devise and implement integrated social media campaigns is required.

-Broad marketing experience is a plus.

-Experience with projects with international colleagues is a plus.

-Experience working with international websites is a plus.

-Spanish as a second language is a plus.

-Building and delivering web strategy is a plus.
