Web Project Manager – Retail Funds – open to non FS background recruitment
The role is to drive several associated projects from inception to completion which will include the input of all business areas such as legal, finance, marketing and operations in addition to technology delivery. As the company is a niche, lean player, you will be expected to have the ability to influence these business areas through a matrix workstream structure.
Role:
-Building, coordinating and maintaining effective working relationships between the business, technical, and operational teams located globally
-Work with the business team to write functional specifications and improve the overall quality of functional specifications being produced by other members of the business team
-Build solid processes to enable strong web development, particularly as they relate to interaction between the business and development teams
-Ensuring that the integrity of the specifications produced by the business team is maintained during the development process (i.e. the development output serves the customer need identified in the spec)
-Managing external relationships to ensure a robust delivery of the entire technical system
Required:
-Solid track record in hands on Web Project Management (with example URL’s of previous projects)
-A proven ability to work with both business and technology teams, and act as a bridge / conduit between these two areas
-Previous experience working in an agile software development methodology as a Business Owner or Scrum Master
-Previous experience in web development distribution business for retail funds
-Excellent knowledge of using all Microsoft Office tools with an advanced and proven knowledge and experience of using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
-Ability to thrive within a start-up team environment
-Proven experience building business process which enable software development teams to meet their needs
