Web User Inteface Designer Job in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
On behalf of our client in the Lower Mainland, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for a Web User Interface Designer for a part time contract opportunity.
RESPONSIBILTIES: Under the direction of the Project Leader
Project Scope/Budget
· Be responsible for the design, layout, visual appearance, and usability of internal applications;
· Work with the application developer and other internal resources to implement the design of a web-based application;
· Be responsible for specification of application layout, organization, navigation, graphic design, digital art, and may assist with content classification, content development, testing and maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Experience and Technical Requirements
· Minimum four (4) years experience designing corporate business Intranet sites;
· Minimum three (3) years experience developing site prototypes using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Vision, and/or Microsoft Office;
· Minimum three (3) years developing business graphics and artwork using Adobe Illustrator, Visio, or similar graphics packages.
Desirable Requirements
· Extensive experience designing corporate Intranet sites;
· Extensive experience designing web-based applications;
· Experience with content management and publishing;
· Experience with HTML, CSS;
· Proven ability to deliver projects on schedule according to established deadlines; and
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills working with technical and non-technical business users.
