Web User Interface Designer Job in Silver Spring, Maryland Us
Social Scientific Systems, Inc. (SSS), a company dedicated to improving public health around the world, is actively looking for a creative and detail-oriented Web User Interface (UI) Designer.Candidates should be skilled in user interface and graphic design for web based applications. Duties and responsibilities of position would include developing storyboards/wireframes for applications, designing user interfaces for web based systems, advising on accessibility (Section 508, etc) and usability, and working with development team on implementation strategy.
Required Skills
- Strong conceptual visual skills
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- XHTML / CSS understanding
- Section 508 familiarity
Required Experience
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area is required. Must have acomprehensive u nderstanding of Web development process (design, development, deployment). All candidates must possess a creative approach to problem solving; ability to work collaboratively; be a team player; and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work and the ability to balance work across multiple projects concurrently are also required.
