Web Writer
Federal Government department has a requirement for a Web Writer for an initial contract until 30 June 2012.
As a Web Writer, you will be required to:
- Write document summaries for publication to the web;
- Coordinate and prepare web content from the department’s program areas;
- Coordinate and prepare web content for Corporate areas in accordance with the Information Publication Scheme requirements, and the FOI act;
- Liaise with in-country and Canberra based staff to identify and produce web content;
- Liaise with program and corporate areas to determine information that should be published;
- Support program areas at overseas posts to identify and develop information if required.
To be successful in this role, you would need:
- Proven ability to develop and deliver quality web documentation and content in tight timeframes.
- Well-developed administrative skills with proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in plain English
- Experience producing content which meets the technical and legislative requirements for Australian government websites. In particular, a strong working knowledge of the requirements relating to the National Transition Strategy on accessibility is desirable.
- Strong liaison skills across multiple sectors.
- Broad understanding of aid and development issues
