Weekend Shift Team Leader

Do you have experience in a supervisory role in Manufacturing? Would you like to work on a weekend shift for a successful and well established Coventry based Company with a supportive and friendly environment where commitment, results and success are rewarded?

The Job

The role will entail daily planning and monitoring of all processes to ensure output; making certain that Company standards are maintained whilst adhering to relevant procedures.

 

Other key tasks of the role include:

 

·         Control the effective utilisation of labour

·         Optimise the use of plant and equipment to ensure timely workflow of material through the department.  This includes an orderly and tidy workplace and effective control of hand tools.

·         Ensure adherence to schedules and to control capacity in line with standard times established

·         Carry out constant monitoring of material availability to maintain work performance

·         Make regular reports on the departments’ performance

·         Manage operator performance

·         Maintain Health and safety procedures in accordance with the company health and safety policy.

·         Ensure that operator skill base and training is maintained

·         Performance objectives will be set against these tasks where possible so that objective measurement of performance can be evaluated.

·        Hours of work – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 6am-6pm.  There may also be a requirement to attend a handover meeting on Monday mornings.

Job Requirements

·         2 years experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing

·         Computer literate, including MS Word/XL/PROJECT

·         Excellent communication skills

·         A logical and methodical approach to problem solving

 

 Benefits

·         Basic salary up to c. £24,000 p.a. depending on experience

·         Company Pension

·         33 days annual holiday (pro-rata)
