Volt Design Technical Services has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. This is a full time position with Volt Design Technical Services (DTS), that provides project-based engineering consulting and manufacturing support services throughout the product life cycle including design, analysis, build-test, production and support.
We have an immediate need for an experienced Weld Engineer to join us on a full-time basis.
The ideal candidate will perform the following functions:
1. Create weld procedures for the 336E 320E Upper Frame and Base Frame
2. Qualify the welds for all process procedures developed
3. Conduct weld audits on the established process
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. B.S. in Welding Engineering plus 5 years experience or 10 years experience in welding related activities.
2. In depth working knowledge of welding safety; welding processes; and welding process control methods.
3. Knowledge of the fundamentals of welding metallurgy, quality systems, external welding specifications, engineering standards and specifications, and manufacturing practices and specifications.
