Job Responsibilities:
• Designs, fabricates and joins various types of metal objects and structures using electric arc, MIG welding techniques.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
• Clamps, holds, take-weld, heat bend, grind or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Uses disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
• Operate drill presses, power saws and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
• Be able to analyze engineering drawing and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations.
• Also be able to design and build without detailed prints.
• Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits while performing job function.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Must be willing to work nights and occasional field work.
Job Qualifications:
• CDL Preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience directly in fabrication
• Be able to life 100 pounds frequently
• Pass a drug screen.
• Pass a background check
• Have a good driving record.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Be able and willing to work 10 or more hours a day and 10 days on 4 off.
• Have good attitude and work ethic.
