Welding Engineer Job in Didcot
My client a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance vessels and structures for use in demanding industrial are seeking a Welding Engineer to report directly to the Engineering Manager.
The purpose of the job role is defining, developing and implementing robust weld and join procedures and prcesses and to ensure continuous improvement in order to optimise the manufacturing business.
You will have responsibility for:
- Development of welding processes in order to increase production capabilities, achieving maximum output and efficiency
- Generation and implementation of welding solutions in order to up-scale the current processes and to take products from development to full production
- Keep up-to-date with new welding techniques into production
- Mentoring of junior engineers
The ideal candidate will have HNC level qualification in Fabrication and Welding engineering or work experience to an equivalent level. Be able to demonstrate ability to mix practical with analytical approaches, show success in negotiation and people leadership skills and have proven track record of bringing projects in on time and to budget.
You will be highly self motivated with initiative and a flexible approach and be solutions orientated.
Excellent salary on offer for the right candidate c£35-40k + benefits
