Wellness Manager Job in Somers, New York US
General Summary:
This position will assist in the development, coordination and implementation of health and wellness programs and services for multiple PBC sites. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in clinic management and wellness and disease management toward the goal of improving employee health and wellbeing.
Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day clinic operations. across 39 onsite Wellness Clinics managed by Johns Hopkins.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders (benefits, safety, Johns Hopkins, etc.) as appropriate.
- Schedule, promote, develop and implement health and wellness programs and activities.
- Assist in the tracking and collection of outcomes data for individual programs and activities as well as the overall wellness program.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the marketing and communication plan; create communication materials as needed including e-mail messages, health articles and newsletters, online content and promotional materials such as displays, flyers and bulletin boards.
- Responsible for development and management of annual and ongoing budgets and reporting.
- Demonstrate solid employee relations experience, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Display strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate professional maturity and ability to act as a change leader.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; preferably in Health Promotion or other health services profession.
- Five years of work experience with ergonomic initiatives related to distribution/transportation and/or direct store delivery jobs.
- At least one years experience in aWellness Specialist role.
- Experience working with corporate health and welfare programs.
- Ability to design, develop, deliver and evaluate programs and services.
- Proven ability to align wellness programs with organizational mission and objectives.
- Strong analytical and computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Web/Internet-based programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication and marketing skills Strong presentation and time management skills.
- Proficient in handling multiple tasks.
- Must be willing and able to travel 20% of the time.
