Program Description Wells Fargo Insurance Services is looking for current undergraduates to join various teams within the insurance line of business in a unique experience with exposure to the groups that make up a business-to-business company. The duration of the program is approximately 9 weeks long and is located in major cities throughout the Unites States. Participants receive a comprehensive professional and educational experience through on-the-job training and practice by joining a business group and working alongside team members who are experts in their fields. In addition, the program offers organized activities that allow participants to meet senior executives, network with other interns across business lines, and form lasting friendships. Responsibilities Interns will gain knowledge and exposure within the following areas: - Learning the Business - Fundamentals of Customer Service and Retention - Fundamentals of Sales - Best Practices of Cross-Selling and Teamwork Typical assignments include updating and analyzing prospect information stored in customer relationship management systems (CRMs) to identify sales opportunities, participating in customer meetings to learn product and service capabilities and sales strategies, and developing analytical skills by participating in data mining and customer analytics projects. In addition, all interns will participate in corporate or local events, including: - Orientation and social activities - Networking opportunities with senior executives, managers, associates and other team members - Professional development seminars and workshops - Group Project - Online training Minimum Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Undergraduate student in junior year with plans to graduate in 2013 - 1+ years experience interacting with people or customers Minimum Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in an insurance, risk management or business program at a college or university - The ability and desire to sell - A high degree of self-motivation and drive - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Demonstrated problem solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities -Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a part of a team Wells Fargo will not sponsor visas for these positions, and will not hire individuals whose work eligibility is based on their F-1 or other student visa status.
