Description

The Wholesaler's role is to actively solicit Dreyfus investment products within an assigned geographic region. The role is a high paced, highly competitive client facing sales role that is rewarded based upon consistent superior results. Additionally, the role is an extension of the global brand on a local level, and should seek to represent the company through consistent displays of strong values and behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop new, and expand on existing, relationships with investment professionals
Conduct one-on-one meetings, group presentations, as well as client events and seminars
Attend various client conferences on the local and national level
Optimize territory efficiency by having a formal sale process in place ¿ which requires an annual business plan, use of territory analytics, and well defined client service model.
Effectively manage firm resources which involves: updating an active client database, travel expenses, entertainment budget, and promotional items
Working in partnership with an assigned Internal Wholesaler

Qualifications

Qualifications:
College degree preferred.
5 years wholesale or financial services sales required.
FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses required. Must obtain Series 7 license within 90 days of hire.
Excellent telemarketing and communication skills and the ability to organize and manage large and diverse selling territories.
Extensive product knowledge and understanding of mutual fund industry.
Extensive travel required.
