POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

 

Our client is a well-established and successful developer of wireless communication protocols.  They have a number of patents to their name and are enjoying tremendous success in the marketplace.  Their current growth is driving the addition of a Wi-Fi Systems Development Engineer to their RD team.  As a staff engineer you will work in a team creating and developing upcoming WLAN standards.  You will provide detailed WLAN protocol analysis, pose solutions and present findings to team members.  As you create and formulate new patents you must develop methods or simulation tools to validate your concepts.

 

Some travel is required, occasionally international, between company locations, to attend standards meetings and other technical forums.

 

SALARY RANGE:  $120,000 - $160,000.

 

EDUCATION:  Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering.

 

EMPLOYEE TYPE:  Permanent, full-time

 

REQUIRED TRAVEL:  Less than 15%.
