Florida Tile has an opening for a Windows Application Developer at our corporate office in Lexington, Kentucky. This position will report to our Director of IT.  Our Windows Application Developer will have an opportunity for growth and development.  This is a newly created position within the IT Department. Some additional training and travel may be required.

Basic Job Description:

Perform analysis, design, maintenance, and modifications to applications currently in production as well as construction and testing of new applications using Visual Studio .Net development tools including Visual Basic .Net and C#.

This position reports to the Manager of Application Development but may be directed by a Project Manager, Project Leader, or Stakeholder for a particular assignment. This is a newly created position within the Development Department. Some additional training and travel may be required.

Duties:

• Assist or complete requirements analysis to identify, define and analyze in detail, the business requirements for the problem or opportunity defined.
• Assist in finalizing and detailing the specifications which satisfy the requirements developed in #1, or assist in determining the initiative is not justifiable/feasible.
• Insure programs are designed and constructed and implemented according to defined standards.
• Construct or modify programs following programming specifications, and insure efficient operation in the production environment.
• Compile or maintain operations and program documentation per defined standards. Maintain source vault.
• Verify and perform testing tasks for unit testing, and assist with string and systems testing per Development Department standards.
• Assist clients in the development of client documentation to be used for training and reference material.
• Production support via problem determination and resolution.

Qualifications:

Skills-
• High ENERGY / Self Starter / Results Oriented
• Experience working in a ‘Team’ environment
• Proven programming and analysis skills with emphasis on language/structure/standards.
• Visual Studio / .Net: Visual Basic and C#
• Web development experience
• Database Application Experience with SQL Server and IBM DB2
• Microsoft SharePoint Development / Administration
• Microsoft CRM Development
• Experience with Cognos 8 and mobile applications is a plus

Experience and education-
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
At least 1 years of experience in Enterprise Application Development
