Our client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Designer to join their team and will be expected to have significant experience designing and implementing the ICT Server infrastructure of the government agency. This role is based in the western suburbs and is for an initial 6 month contract.

Duties also performed in this role:
   

  • Planning, designing and optionally implementing of the ICT Server infrastructure and its associated software located in the data centres and business network environments  

  

  • Planning, designing and optionally implementing of virtualised server infrastructure and its associated software located in the data centres and business network environments  

  

  • Ensuring that IT services are aligned with the business goals of the organization  

  

  • Working with key users to assess their needs, review the quality of services provided and plan for new service provision from a technical viewpoint  

The skills required for this position include:

 Mandatory:  

  • Extensive design experience in a Windows server environment.  
  • Experience/exposure to the following technologies: VMware, Windows, Citrix, SAN fabric and storage technologies  
  • Ability to work with projects and translate often incomplete business ICT requirements into an ICT infrastructure design.  
  • Ability to work independently.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills  
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
