The Windows Services Automation Analyst is responsible for automated configuration, deployment and management of Windows PC and server systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing scripts for software deployment and configuration modification on the Microsoft Windows platform using PowerShell and VBScript
- Creation and maintenance of desktop and server deployment images
- Deployment of security patches to both servers and desktops
- Monitoring of and reporting on automated deployments and related systems
- Development of configuration policies in Active Directory
- Authoring of Windows Installer packages and transforms
- Creation of queries in various languages, including WQL and Transact-SQL
- Authoring of reports for management and on an ad-hoc basis
- Provide fourth level support for Client Systems team
Knowledge, Skills Abilities Required
· A minimum of three years of experience with Microsoft Systems Management Server or Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007, including software deployment and patch management on servers
· A minimum of three years experience with scripting technologies, with an emphasis on Transact-SQL, VBScript and PowerShell
· Two years experience with Active Directory Group Policy
· Strong aptitude for problem-solving and the ability to resolve complex issues while retaining a strong customer service focus
· Team player with the ability to adjust to disparate personalities and work well within a diverse organization.
· Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple high priority tasks simultaneously.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education/ Experience Requested
· A minimum of two years of experience managing and configuring Microsoft System Center Operations Manager or BMC Patrol is highly preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
