DESCRIPTION:
Server administrator candidate will be part of data center sever support team a center environment. Candidate will serve as the primary customer interface for assigned server support issues and/or resolutions. Each technical team member will provide support which includes, but is not limited to the following:
· System administration, security compliance, and secure configuration of assigned servers
· Completion of relevant technical tasks as directed by onsite federal customer
· Operating system software/environmental standards review and enforcement
· Operating system/utility software acquisition, installation, testing, implementation, and maintenance
· Operating system/utility software configuration management
· Operating system/utility software host platform telecommunications interfaces
· System backups
· Network Software generation/definition
· Installation and fixes or updates to communication software
· Local configuration management and documentation
· Develop and publish relevant operating procedures
- Provide Level III (Tier II) support and problem resolution
- Engage in elevated OST issues and provide resolution information to Tier I as necessary for problem resolution documentation updates
· Consult with other computer specialists to provide advice/information
· Evaluate, initiate and implement upgrades to keep pace with current technology and requirements
· Maintain Vulnerability Management System (VMS)
· Assist in the maintaining of the environment to highest possible STIG standards (includes reviewing SRR reports and reporting SRR violations)
· Assist and/or train customers as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelors Degree or 4-years prior military experience
· 2-6 years direct and verifiable Windows Server Support experience
· CompTia Security+ Certification also a requirement w/n 6 months of start date
· Candidate MUST be able to pass background clearance investigation

- Systems Management Software (Active Directory, Hercules, SMS, WSUS, Update Expert, SSC, HBSS)
- MS Exchange
- Microsoft Office
- Systems Management Software
- Defense Messaging System (DMS)
- Basic server network Troubleshooting Skills
