Job Description:
Ancestry is looking for an experienced, motivated Windows Systems Administrator to manage all aspects of the Ancestry IT infrastructure in both a corporate and call center environment.
Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
- Deploy, manage, maintain, and support corporate IT systems based on Microsoft Windows and related technology including Active Directory, file and print services, Exchange, Lync, Forefront, System Center, etc.
- Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Call Center IT systems including Microsoft Terminal Services, call recording, workforce management, and telephony.
- Assist with design and implementation of IT technology projects as directed.
- Determine and document IT policies, processes, and procedures.
- Assist in resolving employee computer problems escalated by the corporate Help Desk.
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience managing IT systems for a mid-size to large company. Experience supporting a call center is a plus.
- Four year college technical degree or Microsoft MSCE or equivalent certification.
- Demonstrated success and experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows (all versions), Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Terminal Services, Lync/OCS, Virtualization and related technologies.
- Knowledge and experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP and other standard Internet protocols.
- Experience installing, deploying, and maintaining computer hardware in a data center environment.
- Experience with Windows scripting technologies (ADSI, WMI, WSH, and Powershell).
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to provide 24x7 on call support for IT emergencies.
