My client is a very high profile Hedge Fund who require a very forward-thinking, switched on and well established Windows Systems administrator for its very impressive London-based team.
As Windows Systems administrator, the successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting problems throughout the entire technology stack, continuously looking for opportunities to optimise the development / build processes and to improve production availability. You will ensure that all production and non-production environments are stable and releases are applied whilst also making sure that all necessary monitoring is in place. You will also represent the teams in weekly Change Management meetings.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding Windows Systems administrating experience, strong Windows Server knowledge, SQL skills and experience with either TeamCity, Powershell and / or Oracle (PL/SQL). Previous experience of working on C# platforms, Tibco Rendezvous and / or VB6 code would be an advantage.
You must be a keen and proven problem solver with a very inquisitive mindset. You will always be looking for ways to improve and be able to demonstrate your key achievements within your current and previous roles.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and eligibility to live and work in the UK.
A strong academic profile with a Degree in Computing or related field would be an advantage.
