Windows 2008 System Administrator/Software Consultant- Berkshire, UK Travel

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Windows 2008 (R2) Systems Administrator to work in setting up and deploying ERP Distribution Software on to client’s sites. If you are looking to move from a pure systems administration role into consulting with external clients this is a role you will be interested in. You will join a dynamic organisation that looks to promote from within and support their employees in career progression.  Due to the continued growth of the organisation they are looking for a Consultant to work on projects within the UK implementing solutions to their client base that have distribution networks throughout the UK.

If you have experience of working within a trade counter type environment implementing or working on ERP solutions then your experience would be advantageous in this role.

Your role will be to prepare Windows server 2008 running SQL Server, installing Windows and the ERP software. Once prepared you will visit the client site to deploy ensuring the system is running smoothly. If you have any knowledge of Linux/UNIX operating systems it would be advantageous although not essential.

Other responsibilities will be to get involved with pre-sales work, including the design of systems and undertaking product upgrades.

You will be an excellent communicator able to work with clients at all levels ensuring the implementation goes as smoothly as possible. You will be technically savvy being able to take on client requirements and explain them to technical resource but also communicating on behalf of your Company’s technical team back to non-technical staff at your client.

You will have a flexible attitude being able to stay away when required during key stages of the client implementation and for this you will be provided with a car or car allowance.
