Job Title: Technician-Wireless Data (Net)

Job Description:
Responsible for providing support and training to customers, customer service, 611, telemarketing, sales teams, and computer system engineers. Investigating and resolving wireless computer software and hardware communication problems, answering clients inquiries via telephone concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including analog circuit switched data access, CDPD, Airbridge/Cellscape, CDMA circuit switched data service and operating systems. Troubleshooting call-processing problems pertaining to translations, SS7, TCP/IP, and telecommunication facilities, manufacturing phones; utilizing UNIX and Special UNIX tools to perform traces and simulate scenarios through the switches. Primary technical resource between Telecommunication and its customers providing solutions on wireless data services. Troubleshoots wide area network data communications technologies, including bridges, routers, gateways, multiplexes, and packet switches. Min Associates degree, 2-year technical degree, relevant military exp, equivalent special electronics training, or equivalent work exp is req'd. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Communications, or equivalent is preferred. Min 2 years exp in desktop support function. Working knowledge of the following technologies and/or platforms including: MS OS: 2000/XP, RSA, VPN, NetIQ/Active Directory, RIS, Solaris, MS Office Suite 2003, Internet Explorer, NAS Applications, Proxy, Firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP and Networking Fundamentals. Strong knowledge of Network Applications such as: Remedy, SANE, Prospect, Xng, RSA/ACE Database. Working knowledge of Java JSP, Java Script, HTML, SQL, Apache TomCat Web Server, JBuilder, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and/or MS SQL 2000 is desirable. Must be able to lift computer equipment. Must be available to work in an operations environment that include shifts ranging from 7am-8pm as well as 24/7 on-call.
