Wireless Systems Engineer Job in Richardson 75081, Texas US
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this individual will be an architect for advanced broadband wireless communication systems with an extensive background in physical layer research, design, analysis, development, implementation, testing, standardization, and deployment of 4G cellular, WiFI and OFDMA systems. Responsibilities include:
· Simulation and modeling of advanced communications systems
· Systems level analysis
· Waveform and protocol design
· Advanced baseband algorithm development
· System Requirements development
· Inventing algorithms for array processing
· Designing practical receivers for both base station and subscriber devices
· Collaborating with hardware and software developers
· Performing experimental design, data collection and analysis of field data
· Presenting technical material to a variety of audiences, incl. customers, std. bodies, and industry groups.
MUST HAVE’S
· Ph.D. (strongly preferred) in a field directly related to wireless communications
· 5+ year’s work experience beyond Ph.D.
· Wireless communication systems design and development
· Digital Signal Processing and baseband algorithms
· Antenna Array and Beamform processing
· MIMO, OFDM, FEC, Acquisition, Tracking, Demodulation
· Interference Suppression Techniques
· Wireless system simulation/analysis and Channel modeling
· WiFi, LTE-A, WiMax
· Significant and current technical depth in the areas of MIMO (both space-time codes and spatial multiplexing) and smart antennas
· Broad abilities in the areas of adaptive signal processing, statistical analysis, digital modulation and channel coding
· Design and analysis of physical-layer algorithms for array processing in cellular air interfaces
· Broad ability to analyze protocols and to design algorithms for cross-layer (MAC, PHY) optimization
· Demonstrated ability to design and simulate complex algorithms (Matlab with C/MEX) at both the link- and network-level.
· Established technical track record with good written and oral communication skills
· Industry participation in standards bodies (preferred) with knowledge of at least one widely deployed air interface (e.g., 802.16, 802.11, WCDMA, or LTE)
