WMP Administration Analyst recruitment

Position Description:

On their behalf we manage portfolios focusing on equity, fixed income, currencies, commodities, real assets, and active asset allocation, including hedge fund portfolios.

We are currently seeking to recruit a WMP Administration Analyst for our Wellington Management portfolio's (WMP) admin team, based in London, and reporting to the WMP Administration Manager in London.

The individual will support the firm's mutual fund business in EMEA by building out the operational infrastructure required to support the redistribution business (both the Transfer Agents and internally).

Responsibilities

These responsibilities are broken out into three specific categories: onboarding, ongoing maintenance, and project work.

Onboarding:

• Work with the targeted global wealth managers (i.e. Distributor) at an early stage to determine their preferred trading and clearing platforms
• To the extent that there are new country registrations work on identifying and engaging new paying agent relationships
• Develop direct relationships with the back offices at each of these firms to understand the costs and intricacies of their trading platforms and how they intend to clear and settle trades (omnibus, etc.)
• Determine whether these requirements can be accommodated given the WMP funds unique dealing terms (for example: whether they can
accommodate T-1 funds, anti-dilution levy's, etc.)
• Work with the Transfer Agents to determine their capabilities and concerns
of interacting with the respective platforms
• Review Distribution Agreements and Platform Service Level Agreements from an operational perspective. Ensure that all of the shareclasses are properly identified and liaise with the core team to ensure they are opened
timely
• Manage project to implement the trading platforms between the Transfer Agent and the platform provider. If it is a 3rd party platform provider it may involve separate legal agreements or compensation considerations
• Platform setup will involve completing detailed spreadsheets or other templates to capture the critical fund and dealing terms
• Implement appropriate mapping of trades between registered shareholders on the Transfer Agent register to the Wellington internal representation

Ongoing maintenance:

• Interaction with the Distributor/Platforms regarding fund corporate action events (namely fund closures, distributions, etc.) and maintenance of fund
data on their systems
• Comply with any reporting provisions in the Distribution Agreement or Service Level Agreements
• Manage the paying agent relationship; and any associated reporting,translation requirements, etc
• Coordination of Distributor compensation (including trail commissions,Front end loads (if needed), rebates, retrocessions, etc.)
• Oversee the Transfer Agent

Project work:

• Project analysis re: one Global Transfer Agent for all of the WMP crossborder funds, and potential implementation
• Work with internal groups to determine optimal client service model for supporting Distributors
• Work with internal groups to assess optimal AIM account structure and account opening process to enable Distributors to open shareholder accounts timely and in accordance with their preferred method
• Implement known 3rd party Platforms (including NSCC, Vestima Plus,
etc.)

Qualifications The successful candidate is likely to have:

• An undergraduate degree
• Experience of working in the financial services industry; ideally with a background in funds management
