WORK COORDINATOR
IN-STeP: Industry-School Training Partnership Inc. is looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to Coordinate our Get Set For Work program. Based in Townsville, this is a full time contract position continuing through to December 2012.
We are seeking a person who has qualifi cations and/or experience in areas of; Youth or Social Work, hold a ‘Child Related Employment Blue Card’, open drivers licence and enjoys a challenge. Proven experience, knowledge and an understanding of issues affecting young people
and strong knowledge of the local area is essential. Knowledge of the hospitality and/or retail industry will be an advantage.
The successful applicant will deliver the Get Set For Work program, funded by the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation’s Skilling Queenslanders For Work initiative. You will be working with disengaged or disengaging young people addressing their personal and training needs to help them overcome barriers and gain skills to take the next step into the workforce.
Applicants will have highly developed oral and written communication skills, be highly organised, sound negotiation skills and the ability to engage young people. If you have a passion to make a difference and the creativity to develop initiatives that will assist youth, then please apply.
