Workers Compensation Policy Consultant-01117223 Description Key Role: Coordinate and provide technical, specialized, consultative, and advisory Workers Compensation guidance for revising the policy. Provide analytical support for the writing of policy, including developing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), interviewing subject matter experts and stakeholders, identifying best practices that could be implemented in an intelligence community, developing a database or incorporating technology used by others in the Workers Compensation field that could be adapted to the Agency's needs, and delivering a Workers Compensation Case Management Strategy and Plan to improve the quality of service to employees and supervisors. Provide effective management and administrative techniques regarding planning, program implementation and modification, Workers Compensation laws, rules, and regulations, program assessment, design, and evaluation procedures. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: -Experience with the management of a Workers Compensation program -Experience with state-of-the-art concepts, approaches, and practices of Workers Compensation administration, including appropriate methods of training, program planning, group facilitation and instructional techniques, and effective management and administrative techniques regarding planning, program implementation, and modification -Knowledge of Office Workers Compensation Program (OWCP) policies, rules, and regulations of the principles, practices, methods, and techniques applicable to Workers Compensation administration -Knowledge of Workers Compensation laws, rules, and regulations and program assessment, design, and evaluation procedures -Ability to provide leadership in the interpretation and application of federal laws and regulations and office policies and regulations -TS/SCI clearance Additional Qualifications: -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills -MA or MS degree Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
