Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Pennsylvania is one of the more than 75 chapters in a nationwide federation that consists of more than 25,000 member companies across the United States. 

 

ABC is the construction industry's voice with the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the federal government and with state and local governments, as well as with the news media.

Opportunity – Immediate Opening for Workforce Development Director

Position Overview – The Workforce Development Director is responsible for the overall management of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Pennsylvania’s Workforce Development Program including Safety, Management, Apprenticeship, and Pre-Apprenticeship Education.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Qualifications Required:

 

·         Minimum of 3 years of related experience including some supervisory responsibilities

·         Experience in the construction industry is preferred, not a must

·         Strong supervisory skills

·         Proven Relationship Management skills

·         Excellent Project Management skills

·         Exceptional organizational skills

·         Proven ability to engage resources to source solutions

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Proficient in MS Office Suite

·         Bachelor Degree in Business, Political Science or Humanities

·         Some experience in training is preferred
