We now have an exciting opportunity for a Workplace Relations Advisor, reporting to the Workplace Relations Director. The role will be based in Sydney, will require some interstate and trans-Tasman travel, and will be working as part of the broader People and Culture team.
The role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the LNNF Workplace Relations Strategy.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the implementation of the LNNF workplace relations strategy;
- Providing strategic and technical support on day to day WR issues;
- Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and the People and Culture team;
- Prepare and deliver WR training and capability build programs as required;
- Assist with the implementation of legislative and collective instrument changes;
- Assist in the management and maintenance of people related policies and provide advice on their application;
- Assist in the management of individual and collective based litigation;
- Provide strategic advice on projects as needed eg. change projects;
- Assist in the development of collective agreement negotiation strategies in conjunction with site leadership
To be successful in this role, you will have an understanding of complexities in interpreting legislation and industrial awards/agreements, experience in providing advocacy in employment courts and tribunals and similar jurisdictions, and exposure to developing solutions to workplace relations issues.
You will have the ability to constructively influence and advise leaders on business decisions in a way that is consistent with LNNF's values and behaviours and ideally be a qualified lawyer.
