WPF / .Net Developer – International Financial Institution (banking experience not essential)

Our client, an International Financial Institution, is looking to hire an experienced hands-on WPF / .Net Developer. This is a high-profile role working in a fast-paced environment. This position comes with an opportunity for the right candidate to showcase their initiative and leadership skills.

The candidate will be primarily involved in the development of the front-end GUI for the Risk system.
The technical ability of the candidate is the key for this position.
Banking experience is not essential for this role.

The successful candidate will report locally to the team lead and will work closely with other team members based around the region to build the required solutions.

In this role, candidate may be required to liaise with senior business users to gather requirements and suggest workable solutions. A confident and assertive personality is a must as is the ability to communicate clearly in English.

Job Responsibilities
• Full SDLC involvement
• Engage with internal and external clients as well as technology teams to ensure robust, scalable and extensible technical solutions to business needs
• Business analysis and documentation
• Identify operational issues or new procedures resulting from new requirements or functionality.
• Go-live user support and training

Essential Skills and Experience
• 7 years .NET Framework (C# 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0)
• 2 years WPF (in C# 3.5 and above)
• Advanced SQL, ability to query and organize data for analysis purposes
• Experience of end-to-end project lifecycle
• Clear and confident communication style – verbal and written English
• Solution oriented with proven results in situations of minimal supervision
• Self starter and proactive

Preferred Skills
• Core Java development skills
• Tibco
• Experience of Ruby, Perl and Unix shell scripts
• Experience of Business Analysis

Educational
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science

Communication Skills
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
