My Carolina Today is a lifestyle show that highlights the community. The show will consist of a mix of sales clients and invited interviews. The show airs Monday through Friday. The writer/producer will develop, produce and/or coordinate production for My Carolina Today. Position will involve creating quality television segments to the satisfaction of local advertising clients. The Writer/Producer will also research and develop content for the show. Writer/producer must maintain a high degree of professionalism. Perform other duties as needed and as directed by the Executive Producer. The ability to conceptualize and communicate messages through strong visual direction skills. Writer/Producer needs to have operative knowledge of television and other media production techniques and associated equipment, including computer skills and non-linear editing systems. Must be able to complete assignments with minimal supervision and interact cooperatively intra and interdepartmentally.

Required Skills

Writer/Producer needs to have operative knowledge of television and other media production techniques and associated equipment, including computer skills and non-linear editing systems. Experience Required

1 to 2 years previous experience with video production, video photography, producing and editing for a broadcast television station or production company.

College degree preferred.
