WSS Global Graphics Team Manager – VP (Based in London) recruitment
The Global Proposals, Presentations Knowledge Group (GPPKG) is part of the Worldwide Securities Services (WSS) sales marketing organisations, reporting to the WSS Client Marketing Executive.
The group contributes to the WSS sales result by creating and producing all sales collateral (proposals presentations) and the graphics component of all marketing collateral.
In doing so, the group works in close partnership with subject matter experts from areas including sales, relationship management, client service, segment, product management, operations and pricing.
The group is approximately 50 people organised functionally across four teams - Proposals, Presentations, Graphics, Knowledge Management; and geographically across six countries - United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Philippines, Hong Kong.The group's core objective is to Help the firm win business...by building the best sales marketing collateral, in the shortest amount of time, with the smallest time involved from Sales, Product and other subject matter experts.
Reporting to the Global Proposals, Presentations Knowledge Group Manager, the Graphics Team Manager is accountable responsible for:
a)
providing layout build services for projects directed by the WSS marketing team (an in-house global graphic design consulting function)b)
all WSS 'Tier One' sales collateral globally (graphic design led collateral, including brochures and similar)c)
the development deployment of iOS and Android based sales marketing applicationsd)
presentation formatting service for non-sales -external print screen presentations
This is achieved by leading a team of eleven - graphic designers, presentations formatters and app developer - across four countries and time-zones, supporting sales marketing activity in almost 100 markets around the world.
The Graphics Manager will work closely with his/her colleagues who lead the Knowledge team, the Proposals team and the Presentations team, and the Mumbai/Manila Regional team.
On a daily basis, the Global Graphics Team Manager is responsible for overall planning execution of in-scope projects - and coordinating all activities from organizing and directing the graphics team, controlling the graphic design development process to preparing compliant, winning print web solutions and apps.
This requires ensuring that all designers, app developers and formatters adhere to the graphics development process and that the solution meets the need of the client.
The Graphics Manager will need to facilitate strong working relationships with senior partners in the firm across sales, service, markets, product, platform technology.
Working closely with the Mumbai/Manila Regional Manager, the Graphics Manager is accountable for the recruitment, managing and development of the team; along with the constant improvement and reengineering of the execution model and process.
Within the strategic framework of the GPPKG, the Graphics Manager is expected to conceive and execute constant development to the methodologies and production of graphic design, apps and print screen presentations.
Responsibilities include:
Develop create various sales, marketing and communication materials across the globe, including Graphic Design (Hard copy collateral - brochures, booklets, cards, magazines, slip-sheets), Web Design (sitemaps, interactive page layouts, Websites, pages banners) and iPad Android applications.Project management of multiple projects with tight deadlines (local, regional and global)Coaching, guiding, developing and overseeing a team of 11 geographically diverse staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs, driving improvements to end project results with a focus on understanding of global / regional nuancesManage and monitor the workload of team to ensure an even / appropriate distribution of workload and that all internal/external deadlines are metBuilding and maintaining relationships with internal clients over widespread geographic region, understanding cultural nuances both of team and stakeholdersEngaging and communicating effectively with the Global Proposals, Presentations Knowledge Manager to ensure execution of group strategyWork in partnership with Knowledge Manager, Proposals Manager, Presentations Manger and Mumbai/Manila Regional ManagerBehave and operate at all times as a Leader in the Business.
Represent the best interests of WSS Sales Marketing, and the GPPKG as your first goal in any interaction.Maintain team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) document, detailing step-by-step processes for BAU activities.
Carry out objective setting and performance management activities with team members in conjunction with the Mumbai Regional ManagerAct as point of escalation for queries and issues within the team, resolving them directly wherever possibleFurther refine process, systems and methodologies to improve the quality of work completed by the Graphics Team.Escalate problems and issues appropriately for resolution in advance of project deadlines.
Evaluate Graphic Design processes against firm and industry standards to ensure that JPM's product is competitive.
Evaluate and select appropriate tools (hardware and software) for content management, project management and document production.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in graphic designing, preferably working on finance-focused marketing and/or sales projects.
Agency experience preferred, but not required.Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate a team - must have experience leading remote teams across multiple locationsHigh level of competence working effectively with senior and middle managers - to gain cooperation and collaboration for high-profile business opportunities.Strong knowledge of financial services and securities industry and/or similar experienceExperience in writing sales documents, understanding importance of key messages and USPsThorough understanding of bidding/procurement requirements and processA proven ability to engage stakeholders from across the business, and form effective working relationships; requires strong communication and relationship building skillsExperience / understanding and ability to work across regional cultural nuances (such as language or cultural considerations)Ability to work well and effectively under pressure and tight deadlines and managing multiple projectsAbility to provide effective oversight and management of multiple projects, and meet multiple deadlines; to travel and work overtime as required, during critical phases of the project.Ability to implement publishing quality controlsStrong problem-solving skills, ability to implement process change and quality controlsStrong organisation skills, project management skills and the ability to continually re-assess prioritiesExcellent written English with strong business writing essentialProficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and MS Office.Experience using inciteKnowledge and/or SAVO an advantage.
