Job description
Work as a member of the WSS Trade Utility Technical Services Team to provide support to Operate teams in production and to AD teams in SIT and UAT.
Review, plan, maintain and refresh application software and hardware to comply with FSA and third party vendor support requirements within EOL programmes.
Provide support and governance for Subversion Source Control Management.
Assist with the maintenance and management of the Trade Utility test environments.
Work with TI GTI partners to provision and support environments, maximise availability and build and deliver new capabilities.
Assist the business and AD teams in understanding technical capabilities and defining their requirements.
Provide SME technical support to Operate and AD teams.
Provide input and guidance to the Architectural process within the Trade Utility.
Help drive the adoption of FAST and FEA tools to support Agile processes with the Trade Utility.

Mandatory Experience
Previous experience working in an Investment Banking environment implementing transaction processing/messaging/Settlement solutions.
Previous experience working in a Project environment.
Previous experience working on release management and environment management functions.
Able to demonstrate good range of technical skills and to have shared these in support of a wider AD and Operate team environment.
Able to demonstrate good communication and be able to build relationships with the business and other Technology areas so that any areas where there is solution crossover can be utilised effectively.
Good understanding of RDBMS and proficiency in at least 1 database (preferably Oracle), writing SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning.
Good knowledge of Solaris and Linux platforms for development/deployment.
