The WW Group Product Director will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation and tactical execution for all new product launches worldwide. This position will work directly with the regional marketing leaders, shared services (Evidence generation, analytics and market research) and the TS BULT in the development of new products as well as the creation of annual business plans and forecasting.

Oversees all global launch activities including the development of the Value Proposition and Brand strategy for all new product launches globally .In charge of collecting and developing the global Strategic Plan for Terminal Sterilization. This position partners with Finance and Research Development to complete the annual data collection and detailed analysis of the data for the respective product portfolio. Acts as the Global Commercial Lead for the TS Business Unit Leadership Team (BULT); leads key initiatives and projects as assigned by the BULT .Works closely with, the Group Product Director, NBD, global franchise managers and regional marketing teams to develop strategic plans and create a robust product pipeline to ensure future business growth. With direct regional input participates in the definition, refinement and prioritization of next-generation product features based on market demands, competitive differentiation and in-depth return-on-investment (ROI) analyses. Creates metrics to quantify impact of feature introductions from both financial and customer satisfaction perspectives. Works closely with research development, manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, customer service and finance to ensure successful product introductions and support of the growth in base business. Develops product positioning for new design features, ensuring connection to market needs and competitive differentiation. Provides global marketing support for the entire product portfolio. Responsible for disseminating and training all global marketing franchise managers on global programs and new product launches. Collects and assesses competitor information and customer's feedback on the quality and competitiveness of products and services and translates market inputs into requirements for product enhancements and new products. Held responsible for complying with all Quality System Processes including Customer Complaints and Product Recalls. Responsible for providing a global perspective for all sustaining Engineering and/or Cost Improvement Programs and ensuring the all decisions are evaluated on a global basis. In charge of developing Global Pricing Strategies for the product portfolio and monitoring year-to-date results to ensure that all product categories are meeting the annual Business Plan. Make required refinements and improvements to existing labeling, collateral and education documents to support sustaining technologies. Utilize market research and analyses to identify, refine, challenge and support product design features from internal and competitive perspectives. Responsible for collecting and distributing current on domestic and international market dynamics and competitive developments. Work with key opinion leaders to test and validate next-generation solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred. 10 years minimum experience in Marketing of medical devices required. Sales experience preferred. People management experience required. New product development experience in the medical device or capital equipment industries required. Global product launch experience is required. Experience as a Global Product Manager is desirable. Experience in a matrix type work environment required. Experience leading and influencing without direct authority required. Strong analytical skills required. Global experience required. Experience in infection control, sterilization and device processing is preferred. Customer/market oriented required. This position requires approximately 30% international and domestic travel. This position is located in Irvine, CA.
