XML Software Engineer

Wyle is seeking a Software Engineer to perform technical analysis on XML metadata schema, including manual review, XML validation, and ingest testing for the DCGS Integration Backbone metadata catalog. The position will require the development, maintenance, and review of technical documentation and specifications needed for system development and execution. The position will develop and implement Test Plans Procedures, including coordination with the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) for DCGS Enterprise test events. The position requires attending high level technical meetings, and integrating defense intelligence enterprise level technical requirements into DCGS Enterprise. Key Responsibilities include: Providing key technical analysis and evaluation to the DCGS Community; Interfacing with multiple XML schema developers and providing technical expertise; Briefing and attending Community Working Groups/IPTs, etc. as required. This position will require approximately 20% overnight travel. Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or five or more years experience in software development. Experience: XML development experience required. Experience or training implementing DoD Net-Ready KPP required. Java, Object Oriented software development experience and Oracle database experience desired. Database and data mining experience is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: System and Software expertise in the application of SOA, Object Oriented and Net-centric technologies is required. Excellent communication skills both verbally and written is required.
