This is an exciting opportunity for an XPI Sourcing Manager located in Columbus IN Key Responsibilities: Leading and coordinating sourcing efforts (supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and management), including IPO Organizations and JV Purchasing team in Sweden. - Responsible for providing direct material purchasing support for Cummins/Scania XPI Purchasing. - Responsible for directing the Engineering team to the appropriate direct and prototype suppliers. - Responsible for managing the strategic relationships with direct and prototype suppliers - Responsible for achieving savings with external and internal suppliers using lowest total cost methods. - Responsible for maintaining and tracking measures for performance, against the key measures. These include managing tooling, supplier capital, cost reduction, delivery The primary contact between supplier and Cummins for supplier negotiations and contracts. Skills: - Four year degree in related field. - 5+ years of related work experience - Certified Purchasing Manager a plus - Hands-on experience with Total Cost of Ownership analysis. - Knowledge of financial data analysis and use of databases. - Experience with a broad range of Precision Machining suppliers. - Project Management skills. - Experience working with a technical organization to cross-functionally drive completion of required technical work providing adequate lead time for purchasing to complete the required sourcing work. - Oral and written communication skills. - Strong Negotiation skills. - Data driven with strong analytical skills. - Ability to define requirements and communicate to cross-functional group. - Broad knowledge of commodities is a plus. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
