Zurich – IT Front Office Sophis Support Specialist recruitment

My client is one of Switzerlands leading banking groups are looking to recruit a IT Front Office Sophis Support Specialist based in Zurich. The role is a permanent position. Basic details are set out below :-

• Support Trading, Risk Control and Quants in their daily work.

• Gather requests / requirements from traders.

• Forward requests / requirements internally or to software vendors.

• Keep track of filed requests.

• Test resolution of implemented requests or proposed solutions by vendors.

• Solve handling / user issues in Sophis.

• Support Mid / Back office with trading related issues.

• Monitor quality of static data.

• Create ad hoc reports / Excel sheets on trader’s, sales MO demand.

• Functional tests on Sophis releases.

• Analyse existing workflows and propose improvements if possible.

• Keep track of default settings for traders in Sophis.

• Liaison with other departments of setup changes / improvements to make sure workflows are not interrupted our requirements.

• Minimum four years’ experience in Sophis Front Office IT Support.

• Familiar with trading, exchange and settlement workflows for equity instruments (shares, plain vanilla options, structured derivates etc.).

• Good knowledge of Mid and Back Office workflows (static data, accounting, dividends, split handling, expiration, standing instruction payments etc.).

• Excel and Access knowledge is an advantage.

• Good communication skills.

• Good technical IT background and analytical skills for first level analysis needed.
