Full Job Description
3rd Line IT Infrastructure Support Engineer (Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Exchange 2010, Citrix XENApp6, VMware vSpehere, SAN) required by my investment banking client in London. You MUST have the following experience:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2008
- Microsoft Exchange 2010
- Citrix XENApp 6/XENServer/XENDesktop
- VMware vSphere
- SAN- EMC Clarion, HP EVA or NetApp
The following would be DESIRABLE:
- SQL Server
- Banking or Financial Industry Sector experience
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
- Cisco networking and security
- Microsoft Certifications (MCDST, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP)
- Citrix Certifications (CCA, CCEA)
Role: You will be working in a team of 5 BAU 3rd line server support administrators for my banking client in London. You will be working in an environment of Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Exchange 2010, VMware vSphere and XENApp6. You will be an escalation point for the user support team. You will be working alongside very experienced engineers and given the opportunity to progress into project work that could include international travel. This is an excellent environment to work in and a superb opportunity to get into banking without previous industry experience. The infrastructure supports a local user base of 1500 users. The environment is relaxed and flat; however, continuous professionalism and commitment are required. You will be:
- Ambitious to provide a high level of customer service
- Articulate and communicative with technical and non-technical users
Salary: £45k- £65k + Bonus + Benefits
