Job Description:
The corporate administrative supervisor position is responsible for supervising and managing a group of up to 15 administrative employees including receptionists and general administrative staff as well as ensuring the successful delivery of corporate support services. This position is responsible for the hiring, training, and on-going evaluation of administrative employees to ensure efficient operation. The primary focus of the supervisor is to provide daily guidance, direction and support to his/her employees. This position is responsible for conducting bi-weekly one on one meetings with each employee. Other responsibilities include defining work schedules, coordinating appropriate coverage requirements for the reception desks and/or absences and communicates the coverage schedule to the team,and coordinating with staffing agencies to provide temporary coverage. This position is responsible for assisting with quarterly social gatherings, quarterly team meetings, and monthly committee meetings. The additional responsibilities of this position are to assist in the administration and development of written policies and procedures for the administrative staff and to provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Provide direction and guidance on administrative and/or departmental projects.

This position is also responsible for collaborating with other Corporate administrative managers and staff to assist with functions, which may include some or all of the following responsibilities:
a) Work with space planning as directed to oversee office growth projects and/or relocation of staff.
b) Work with corporate shipping department to assess shipping/receiving processes and to ensure compliance with Import/Export compliance laws
c) Work with internal customers and/or corporate office, and local staff to organize and communicate special employee events. Oversee details related to planning, bids, and set-up and break down of events.
d) Responsible for local vendor management
e) Identify potential vendors and conduct price comparisons

This position requires at least 4 years of recent experience managing administrative staff and handling the above-listed job requirements. A 4-year degree in related field preferred, but may be waived with significant related experience. Professional demeanor is a must, especially displaying exceptional calm under pressure. Strong interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal fluency, are required, as well as the ability to work with different levels of executives, varied staff, and vendors.
