Advanced Services Consulting Engineer, ATT Domain – Herndon
IP- MPLS expert with Mobile Background

Responsibilities:
 Provides expert level "forward-looking" technical services to optimize network reliability and performance for designated key customers.
 Evaluates the customer's network for performance, scalability, and security and provides creative recommendations to network configurations and topologies to improve operational performance and identify/ mitigate major risk areas.
 Applies strategic technical expertise and understanding to resolve significant and unique network design problems with the customer's current network architecture.
 Partners with the customer’s network support team to create and executes a long term network plan with the customer.
 Partners on short-term projects such as recommendation and implementation of new Juniper software and hardware features in the customer's network.

Required Skills/Experience:
 10+ years of experience implementation and technical support of large, complex IP-based Networks which may include multiple vendors.
 Experience working with large service provider networks and customers.
 5+ years experience designing IP networks.
 Subject Matter Expert, demonstrated architecture knowledge and troubleshooting of protocols in service provider networks, at both network and system levels.
 Expert knowledge for the following networking technologies: Multicast, Draft Rosen MVPN, NGEN, VPN, MPLS VPN, VPLS, RSVP/TE, OSPF, BGP, NSR.
 Expert knowledge for various network interfaces, and class of services.
 Expert knowledge for Security, Firewall, Layer 2 switching and VPNs.
 Expertise in one of the following areas desirable: Cloud, Mobile-LTE, CDN, Video.
 Good understanding of general computer knowledge, including FreeBSD kernel, memory management, process scheduling and file systems. Prior development experience preferred.
 Strong data mining skills with tools automation.
 Expert communication and interpersonal skills.
 Juniper product certifications (JNCIE-M) or industry equivalent strongly desired.
 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent, MS degree preferred
