Job Description JOB FUNCTION: Works independently and as a team to perform Audio/Video (A/V) services in a professional environment. A1 Audio Technician will be responsible for making strategic decisions, executes and delivers on those decisions to support the Client's customers audio and A/V needs within the auditorium and all special event setups. Establishes and maintains effective customer service relationship with Client. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs Audio, A/V setups to ensure quality of services is met, inspects equipment condition and reports discrepancies to the Auditorium Manager. These setups/services include but are not limited to: - Operation and set-up of all Sound reinforcement requirements - Must be comfortable with analog and digital audio boards. - Working knowledge of E.Q., wireless microphones, condensers and dynamic microphones, monitors, live mixing on site. Assists in overseeing the work of subcontractor services within the Branch. Resolves all customer complaints/issues. Represents the organization by participating in meetings, committees and/or task teams with the client and industry associations. Follows all branch policies, plans and procedures to ensure contractual compliance. Complies with all company and client administrative and safety directives, policies and procedures. Coordinates with Auditorium Manager and/or client personnel to execute work to the customer's satisfaction. Ensures Government Furnished Equipment is properly maintained and accounted for. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to execute work necessary for branch and contract success while adapting to a changing environment. Ability to work as a team player while working cohesively with all levels of client, customer and AECOM to ensure contractual success. Able to work independently, analyze situations and make decisions with minimal supervision. Understanding client base, identifying their needs, and how to interact with them. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs., prolonged standing and walking. Willing to work overtime based on Mission requirements Communicates in clear and professional manner. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Audio, Broadcast or Recording Arts; substantial broadcast and live event experience will be considered EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of Audio/Video "A1" Lead experience in live broadcast, sound reinforcement and event recording. Ability to design, document, set up and operate A/V requirements for live events ranging from conference rooms to 1,500 guests in a non-traditional setting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated knowledge of best practices within the A/V trade. Experience as a Technical Trainer of audio technologies. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a wide variety of audiences (e.g., customers, A/V technicians, engineers, management, etc.). Advanced digital/analog multi-track recording and mixing experience Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office products, primarily the use of word processing, database applications, presentation and spreadsheet software.
