ACA – 2nd Move
My client, a leading global investment bank are looking to strengthen their central accounting function through the appointment of a well-rounded Legal Entity Controller to join their already technically strong Financial Reporting Team. The team consists of five different operating entities for which the controller will be responsible for taking full control of reporting and financial management within entities, including complex analysis to support structuring of new deals therein.
The role responsibilities include monthly preparation and analysis of management accounts and quarterly reporting under US GAAP. You will prepare board reports and liaise constantly with auditors as you review financial statements under UK GAAP. You will work closely with the trading desks and Product Control to prepare monthly PL estimates and will have extremely strong interpersonal/communication skills. This will be used in your co-ordination with both UK and US tax teams on tax issues and returns and understanding the businesses developments and communicating these in an effective manner.
The ideal candidate will be a chartered accountant (ACA) with minimum of 3 years PQE and will have trained and qualified with a top 4 firm. A strong financial control background is essential within either banking (ideally investment banking) or a blue chip business. Investment Banking Product knowledge is desired but not essential.
