ACA | ACCA Accounts & Audit Senior
An independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisor's based in Liverpool are seeking an ACA | ACCA Accounts Audit Senior to join their firm on a permanent basis. This is a well-established accountancy firm that pride themselves on being a team of reliable, friendly and proactive financial professionals providing advice and expertise for a wide range of corporate, small business and private clients.
The successful candidate will report into a manager and be responsible for the control of audit and accountancy assignments including the planning, supervision and time-scales of the assignments.
With audit assignments you will be responsible for planning the audit, identifying and assessing key areas of risk, carrying out and reviewing the audit fieldwork, raising any issues with the manager that need to be given further consideration and prepare the documents for client meetings and attending these when necessary.
Staff supervision will be a key part of your role during both audit and accountancy assignments and you will be responsible for delegating work to juniors and also reviewing and managing their performance ensuring all objectives are met.
Whilst you will be reporting into a manager you will gain a considerable amount of autonomy within the role including the opportunity to prepare billing decisions, being a key point of contact to a number of clients and network and develop business for the practice.
To be successful in your application you must be ACA or ACCA qualified and have at least 30% of your current role weighted towards audit. You must be able to demonstrate a strong technical skill set but more importantly demonstrate and intuitive mindset, strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills.
